CPF Sesc, Cetic.br/NIC.br and PUC-SP discuss dissemination and production of educational content on the Internet

Notas 01 OUT 2019

The event will take place on October 15 and online and in-person registrations at Sesc São Paulo units are open.

Strategic aspects at the interface between culture, education, and technologies will be debated on October 15, in São Paulo, at the new meeting of the Cycle on Culture, Education, and Technologies in Debate. The event will be held by the Regional Center for Studies on the Development of the Information Society (Cetic.br) of the Brazilian Network Information Center (NIC.br), Sesc São Paulo, and the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). Those interested in participating must register through the CPF Sesc page (Research and Training Center) or in person at Sesc units.

Under the theme “Educational content and digital ecology,” the meeting aims to deepen the debate on creating distributed and democratic ways of production, dissemination, and appropriation of content on the Internet. Paula Sibilia (professor at the Fluminense Federal University) and Tel Amiel (professor at the University of Brasília), with mediation by Fernando Almeida (professor at PUC-SP), will analyze the extent to which there is room for autonomous creativity and critical analysis of content in digital culture, especially educational, cultural, and value-based content.

Cycle Meetings

The first meeting of this edition of the Cycle took place on September 10 and featured the participation of Antônio Valverde (professor at PUC-SP), Caitlin Mulholland (professor at PUC-RJ), and was mediated by Maurício Trindade (deputy manager of the Research and Training Center at Sesc), who discussed the relationship between ethics, production, and the creative and reflective appropriation of technologies.

On November 5, CPF Sesc, Cetic.br/NIC.br, and PUC-SP will hold the last meeting of the 2019 Cycle “Culture, Education, and Technologies in Debate,” which will discuss literacy for the promotion of digital citizenship. On this occasion, the TIC Education 2018, TIC Kids Online 2018 publications, and the 2nd edition of the Cycle “Education, Culture, and Technologies in Debate” will be launched.
